I've already received several requests since I sent this, so here is
a suggested procedure:

  - I'll be away for a week or so, and will happily summarize any
library/project/software descriptions that pile up in my mailbox
till the end of next week. The idea is that this summary can then be
incorporated in the haskell.org pages, making the software easier to
    find.

  - If you are looking for Haskell software, *please* make sure that
you copy your request to this list, so that current and prospective
authors of Haskell software know that their work is wanted!
This also (almost) guarantees that you get an answer if the software
you are looking for does exist or is under development, as either
the authors or current users will read the list.

  - Before you ask, check haskell.org, both the "Libraries and Tools for
Haskell" and the "Haskell in Practice" sections. But if you cannot
find it there, don't hesitate to ask on this list.
