Distributed Haskell Research Position ------------------------------------- Are you interested in discovering the costs and benefits of functional languages for distributed programming? In particular in comparing them with conventional languages like Java? We have EPSRC funding to investigate a distributed version of Haskell, based on the Glasgow Haskell Compiler (GHC). The skills you will need are: o Functional Programming Experience, preferably using Haskell. o A good honours degree in Computing, together with some research experience. o Distributed programming, preferably using Java.
