I am sorry if this is not the correct group for this, but I have been
trying for some time to get a compiler working on NT 4.0 sp 4. I have
ghc 4.03 and nhc98. THis is using cygwin b20 (Maybe this is the
problem???). nhc98 wont compile, the make file complains about not
knowing how to make some target or another. Dispite using cygwin's
tar to unpack the distribution, I suspect that this is due to
some unix/pc file problem. SO forget that. What about ghc 4.03? That one
at least has binary for nt.
What happens when I try to run it? I type
> ghc-4.03 -o test main.hs

and it does NOTHING, not even an error! even if main.hs is full of garbage
or errors. On other files (main.txt , etc) it complains that it doesnt
know how to process the file, as it should, but on main.hs, silence.

Is there another compiler one can recommend? I am just a beginner in
haskell, and have been using the hugs interpreter, but I want to know
what kind of speed I can get with compilation.

Oh, btw, I have gotten both of teh above to work with linux, but I dont
have linux on the machine I want to do this on. I

CHeers, and thanks again!
