That would take it away as a regular operator (to use as the elem function).
Also, the right hand side of those arrows being lists rather than proper sets, with an imposed ordering, I think the arrow is OK.
But you're right that I didn't mention list comprehensions. Take my suggestion to mean "accept 'leftwards arrow' anywhere for <-". :)
