Two Postdoctoral Research Positions in Embedded Software for Visual Sensing on Autonomous Vehicles

£21,640 - £29,128 per annum

Applications are invited from well-qualified individuals for this BAE SYSTEMS supported project. The first post, to be held at Heriot-Watt University, involves the evaluation of functional and imperative approaches to constructing embedded image processing software to perform simultaneous motion computation and environmental mapping. The second post, to be held at the University of St Andrews, involves the development of static analyses of time and space behaviour for the embedded software. Appointments will be made for one year in the first instance with a strong expectation of continuing to a further year. The starting date will be 5th September 2005 or as soon as possible thereafter.
