It's almost impossible to do anything else on my laptop if NeoOffice
(the MacOSX port) is open.  Loading it takes a long, long, long time.
Granted, my laptop could use more memory, but I suspect I could never
buy enough for this starving beast of an application.

I'm amazed that you can even keep it open. The bastard crashes on me every time something complicated happens, like trying to display a tool-tip, or closing the useless formatting dialog, or clicking the "File" menu.

I eventually gave up and bought MS Office for the Mac. It runs too slowly under Rosetta, but at least it runs.
