Original BSD license ... The FSF approve of the /FreeBSD/ license and the /modified/ BSD license. These are the ones without the advertising clause. They've never been keen on the original version, and they ask people not to lump them all together as 'BSD (style) licenses' on the grounds that it may confuse people into using the non-GPL-compatible original version.
