I briefly made 'County' optional on our address forms. Unfortunately that broke our customers' abilities to register .uk domains with us -- because while we didn't care about their county, apparently Nominet do and their forms won't work without it. So I had to put it back. Maybe I should rename it from 'County' to 'Whatever you'd like to appear in the stupid "County" field that Nominet insist on attaching to your domain registration' ...
