Broken mail client then, surely.

In my experience, Alpine -- and Pine before it -- has been pretty robust
in how it handles all kinds of mail. The only mail it tends to choke on
is spam, and who cares? It's spam.

Alpine is even mostly pretty good at handling oddball (to me) character
sets: Russian, Hebrew, Greek, various Asian character sets, etc. I'm not
sure how much of that is due to Alpine, and how much of it is due to
Terminal on MacOSX 10.5/Leopard getting better, and I don't care. It
just works and I don't have to think about it.
