The email address <a~`*&^$#_-={}'[email protected]> is valid and routes to
me (explicit configuration, not catchall).

I'd be more tempted to use it to post to public lists if more public
lists used mailing-list management software which didn't barf horribly
on it.  As bad as the spammers.

Although Mailman's error message suggests that it might be deliberate
policy to ignore certain valid addresses.  Thankfully, RFCs are not
laws so that's not something I'll get too upset about, but I wonder
which characters here are the criminals?
