I used to use AmigaOS, which wasn't all that bad. You could spot the stuff ported from Unix using an emulation layer because it was bloated and didn't work right. Sure, it was hateful in its own special ways, but it was no less usable than a Unix system of similar vintage. I certainly wouldn't advocate using AmigaOS now, but some distant relation that's heard of security has to be worth checking out.
