I just created an hbase 0.1 branch:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/hadoop/hbase/branches/0.1/. This
branch is effectively the hbase that is in the hadoop 0.16 branch at
src/contrib/hbase but with build and start scripts amended to suit our
new untethered context (If you haven't heard already, hbase was recently
moved in svn out from under hadoop. See HADOOP-2786 'Move hbase out of
hadoop core').
This 0.1 branch will ride atop the 0.16 branch in hadoop. Out intent is
that we will keep up 0.1 backporting any critical fixes. Releases made
off this branch will be our 'stable' offering in the months to come (No
new features will be added on the branch).
Let's make the 0.1.0 release of hbase soon. It should probably come out
sometime after the hadoop 0.16.0 release. At that time, I'll make a
release candidate that we can all vote on.
