Tests should run on non default ports

It's annoying that you can't run the tests when you have hadoop/hbase running
because they run on the same ports by default. Why is this the case? If there's
no particular reason, can I patch it to run on some arbitrarily high ports so
that people with default hadoop/hbase setups can run the tests without having
to take down their cluster?
