This patch is amazing.  I have a little cluster up, I kill the master..... 
while its down, I can scan.  I bring the master back up.  All regions stay 
where they were previous.  Again I can scan.  Let me do a bit more heavy-duty 
testing but this is eXXXXXXcellent.
