The Masters' Thesis. It starts off with a modeling problem and then pulls it in different directions. Natural progressions in the model would favor nosql over an RDBMS in a few cases he highlights. He then spends a good amount of time talking up the differences of NRDBMS/nosql and RDBMS approach (leaving scaling aside) listing neatly the pluses and minuses. This is being done by someone who seems seasoned in data problems on RDBMS who is open to the NRDBMS approach (Masters student seems to be his 2nd or 3rd career going by his bio).
Along the way there are entertaining quotes and history. The conclusion is that one day all of these NRDBMS doohickeys will just be part and parcel of the one database soln. For the moment they exist to the side. Good read if an interest in this domain.
