Erik:
Please run w/ DEBUG enabled (See FAQ for how).
Looking in the log, looks like hbase is having trouble connecting to hdfs:
08/06/12 10:52:09 INFO dfs.DFSClient: Exception in
createBlockOutputStream java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host
This happens over and over again.
Then the master goes down with DroppedSnapshotException because it can't
write hdfs doing bootstrap of the catalog regions.
DEBUG would help.
Is your hdfs healthy?
St.Ack

After a while when everything work fine, the master died and now
we are trying to start it up again and got this message
http://jgray.la/hbase_bad_startup.log
when starting up, we have cleaned everything and started from
scratch, so there should be no old things left. One more thing
the log file from the master has disappeared.
Running hadoop 0.16.3 and HBase 0.1.2
