Hi: How does zookeeper fit in the big picture of hbase? Is it required for a hbase installation?
I followed installation instructions here http://hadoop.apache.org/hbase/docs/r0.19.3/api/overview-summary.html#overview_description, and do not see zookeeper mentioned anywhere. Thanks. -- tp
