Hello Bradford,

Nice hearing from you. I'm just now realizing you're the guy behind the
roadtofailure.com blog. Nice to meet you!

As said in my email, I came to conclusion as to use Hadoop/HBase/Katta combo
at the data layer for a cloud solution. However, the misunderstanding on my
part came from the concept 'cloud stack'. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it
seems to me, the technologies you mention are just the bottom layer for a
full application. Hence my question, as to what the other layers would be in
you Apache cloud stack setup.

My setup bottom to top at this point would be Hadoop/HBase/Katta/ReST
transactional logic (e.g. JSR-311)/ESB (e.g. synapse)/UI (e.g. Shindig). Any
comments?

On the consulting side, I'd have to propose the partners. But as we are just
startup, I'm not sure if there is a budget for that. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks anyway.

Kind regards
-wim

Greetings,
Thanks for dropping me a line! I'm not really sure what you're looking for.
I call everything in the Hadoop ecosystem together with Katta/Zookeeper as
"The Apache Cloud Stack".

If you want more details, though, my blog may be a good place to start:

Also, I'm a consultant in this space. If you'd like a hand getting up and
running, or working on some architecture or code, let me know! My site is at
