(Sorry for not replying properly to the thread).

I met up with Christopher today as planned, and we've already
done a number of improvements in the setup.

The email he sent was more of an uninhibited reasoning than
a plan to offend someone, as I see it.

Also , I could use this for a brief status update:

1) I undo-ed the member migration I did as a test some time ago,
so the accounts left are only those belonging to admins.

Unless there are objections, we'd create users starting at
ID 10,000 (as cclausen suggested in a previous mail),
and make admin UIDs from 9999 downwards.
(Since the numbers already are <10000 for admins, no change
is needed unless someone wants say, 9998).

2) In kerberos, admins now have USERNAME/admin principals, instead
of USERNAME_admin. That means you will have to invoke
'kinit USERNAME/admin' to obtain admin tickets.

3) AFS account names will change from NAME_admin to NAME.admin, but
   this will be transparent.

4) Ntk and mwolson cannot log in to the new systems due to kerberos
changes, so please ask adamc, docelic or cclausen to give you a
   new password.

I probably forgot something along the way, but I'll get back to you
as soon as I remember :)

Enjoy,
