Why is it that you want this?

If we were to do something like this, we would release the data in T1w space (at 2mm resolution) like we have done with the diffusion data not in EPI space which is distorted in a variety of ways relative to the subject’s physical brain.  These data do not actually exist, as there is a single resampling step from the unprocessed images to the MNI space images that has combined all transforms.

The volume fMRI timeseries are very large, so this would likely necessitate separate packages for them.  You could also use the inverse warpfield (${StudyFolder}/${Subject}/MNINonLinear/xfms/standard2acpc_dc.nii.gz) to transform the released timeseries data back to T1w space (use spline interpolation to minimize blurring) or any results from processing those timeseries.  Also, for the cortical data in the CIFTIs you can display them on surfaces in ${StudyFolder}/${Subject}/T1w/fsaverage_LR32k if you want to see what they look like un unwarpped surfaces.

I’d certainly like to see the pipeline scripts released too, and hope our database and informatics team can turn their attention to that after the next data release.

Peace,

Matt.

Subject: [HCP-Users] Preprocessed tfMRI data in native space

Hello
I'm interested in looking at individual subject fMRI data in their own, nonwarped, native space.  Unfortunately I can't find the preprocessed tfMRI images in a native EPI-space, before warping them to MNI . It seems like the only nonwarped images are under the /unprocessed/ path, which leads me to the following questions:

1) Do preprocessed images exist in native EPI (or registered to T1) for downloading?
2) If not, will they be available in the future?
3) If they will not be made available, or if there will be a significant delay in their release, will the "fMRIVolume pipeline" scripts be released, especially through steps 3 or 4 as listed in the reference manual?

Much appreciated,
David
