I'm sorry this hasn't been working for you. The error message you are seeing indicates that there is a firewall in the way, either on your machine or at your institution (in which case you'd need to talk to your IT staff). Specifically, the Aspera plugin needs to be able to open connections to aspera1.humanconnectome.org:922/tcp .
