Hi Greg, I believe that the sample spacing values in the DICOM fields are given in nanoseconds, and the HCP pipeline scripts expect the values to be specified in seconds. Therefore, if the T1w sample spacing value from the DICOM is 7400.0 nanoseconds, it needs to be divided by 1,000,000,000 (10-9) to get the 0.0000074 seconds value that is supplied to the PreFreeSurferPipeline script.
So it looks to me like your calculations are correct. 6500 nanoseconds = 0.0000065 seconds 2300 nanoseconds = 0.0000023 seconds Best Regards, Tim -- Timothy B. The T1/T2wSampleSpacing default values are 0.0000074 and 0.0000021 and the comment says to refer to DICOM field 0019:1018. The values in the DICOM file for our scans are 6500 and 2300. Does this mean our values in the preFS script should be 0.0000065 and 0.0000023? What are the units in the DICOM file and the script? Thanks! -Greg _________________________________________________ Gregory Book Senior Technology Manager Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center, Institute of Living, Hartford Hospital 200 Retreat Avenue Hartford, CT 06106 Tel: 860-545-7267 Fax: 860-545-7797 [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> http://nidb.sourceforge.net This e-mail message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
