Hi Jo,
The zygosity of each twin reported in ConnectomeDB is by self report via
several questions in the phone screening interview prior to the subject
visit. We have successfully done analyses with the MZ, DZ, and sibling
family structure taken into account is it is reported in the DB. We may
verify the MZ/DZ desigations with genetic data, but if we do that it will be
reported in a separate field in DB, called something like Genetic_zygosity.

Best,
Jenn

Subject: [HCP-Users] how confirming twins' zygosity?

Has the zygosity of the twin pairs been confirmed in the currently-released
(500-subject) database? If so, how?

I understand that genetic information is being collected for later testing,
but am wondering if restricted analyses have already been carried out to
confirm the MZ and DZ (or other sibling) labeling.

thanks,
Jo Etzel
