Hi Alessia, wb_command -cifti-smoothing needs both the -left-surface and -right-surface arguments in order to know each vertex's neighbor relationships. These are stored in the surf.gii files -- not the *dscalar.nii files.
Try this: wb_command -cifti-smoothing rfMRI_REST1_LR_Atlas_hp2000_clean.dtseries.nii 4 4 COLUMN 100307_rfMRI_smoothed_clean.dtseries.nii -left-surface ../../Structural_preproc/MNINonLinear/114924.L.midthickness.164k_fs_LR.surf.gii -right-surface ../../Structural_preproc/MNINonLinear/114924.R.midthickness.164k_fs_LR.surf.gii I believe this is spatially smoothing, rather than smoothing across time points.
