The -volume-label-import command is what you want (the output is also a
standard nifti volume, but has some extra stuff in the header). Using the
empty string ("") for the label list text file will give you labels with
names like "Label_2", rather than actual structure names, but that is okay
for just -volume-parcel-smoothing (it won't work for -cifti-create-* that
require a label volume). There is probably a label list text file
somewhere, if you want the real structure names that match freesurfer aparc
or aseg values, but I don't know where.
