Hi Meizhen,

Participants completed the Language task eyes open as in all the HCP tfMRI.
Greg, can you speak to any important considerations or effects?

Best,

Jenn

Subject: [HCP-Users] Are participants' eyes open or closed in Language task?

Dear HCP team,

This is Meizhen Han at Center for MRI research in Peking University.

I've download the Eprime scripts of Main HCP, and I found there is no
instruction about "keep your eyes closed" in Language task, while based on the
paper of Jeffrey R. Binder "Mapping anterior temporal lobe language areas with
fMRI: A multicenter normative study", participants should kept their eyes
closed during this functional scan. So I'm wondering if the participants' eyes
are open or closed in HCP Language task? And are there any important
consideration and effects?

Any information and idea would help a lot! Looking forward to your reply.
Thank you very much!

Best wishes!
