Hi Tim and Matt,

Yes using Mac OS 64bit - Sorry Matt subject number was 118730. I think Tim is
right in saying this is an issue that crops up (excuse pun) with FSLview.

I just re-checked the 10 subjects QC’d in fsleyes and all is well! Apologies
for the scare!!

Cheers,

Will

What version of FSL and FSLview are you using?

This sounds like a problem I recall from older versions of FSL, where our
timeseries were larger than the integer types they were using to compute the
data index, and thus near the end of the timeseries, it suddenly started
grabbing voxel data from the beginning of the file, but with a large shift
(because the 2^32 limit doesn't line up nicely with a multiple of the frame
size).

118347 is not a valid subject ID for the HCP young adult dataset. Are you
using a 64bit OS?

Subject: [HCP-Users] volume misalignment in volumetric rsfMRI fix-denoised data

Dear HCP Users,

I have come across a misalignment in the volumetric ICA-FIX de-noised data
(rfMRI_REST1_RL_hp2000_clean.nii.gz files). In particular, volumes 1089-1200
are misaligned - please see image attached for subject 118347.

I haven’t checked all the subjects but it does appear to be consistent across
the 10 that I randomly selected for QC. Its relatively simple to exclude
misaligned volumes but I was wondering whether this was known (apologies if it
has been mentioned previously in the mailing list).

Cheers,

Will
