Dear Colleague,

The Austen Riggs Center is currently accepting submissions for its 2018 Erikson
Institute Fall Conference, "Duality's End: Computational Psychiatry and The
Cognitive Science of Representation" (Sept 28-30 at The Kripalu Center for Yoga
and Health in Stockbridge, MA). Candidates may submit solely a proposal for the
conference poster session, or a full application to become an Austen Riggs
Scholar in Computational Psychiatry & Representation. For the poster session,
individuals at any stage of career are welcome. For the scholars program, an
applicant must be a graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, resident, or trainee
engaged in research. In either case, candidates should be interested in the
cognitive sciences, psychiatric applications, and/or synthesis of the two.
Multidisciplinary approaches with translational potential are essential for the
resolution of complex mental illnesses, and we hope to recognize projects that
adopt such approaches. We are especially interested in efforts to bridge
insights about the brain and the mind.

All presenters will display their work and answer questions from people
attending the poster session. Scholars will be awarded an honorarium, free
registration, travel, and lodging to attend the conference, and the opportunity
to participate in interactive sessions with the conference speakers and
organizers.

Candidates for the poster session should complete sections 1-3 of the
application form linked below, while candidates for the scholarship should
complete all sections.
