Hi,

A mail for the packager of 5-1.8.4-linux-x86_64-shared.tar.gz

I downloaded the 5-1.8.4-linux-x86_64-shared.tar.gz file and then
tried to compile netcdf. I have an error message which seems to mean
that the link to libsz.la is with its full path in a HDF5 library:

/bin/sh ../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link
/apl/soft/intel/Compiler/11.0/083/bin/intel64/icc -g -O2 -L/opt/hdf5/lib
-L/usr//lib -L/usr/local//lib -o ncgen main.o load.o escapes.o getfill.o
init.o genlib.o ncgentab.o ../libsrc4/libnetcdf.la -lhdf5_hl -lhdf5
libtool: link: warning: library `/opt/hdf5/lib/libhdf5_hl.la' was moved.
libtool: link: warning: library `/opt/hdf5/lib/libhdf5.la' was moved.
libtool: link: cannot find the library
`/mnt/hdf/packages/szip/shared/encoder/Linux2.6-x86_64-gcc/lib/libsz.la' or
unhandled argument
`/mnt/hdf/packages/szip/shared/encoder/Linux2.6-x86_64-gcc/lib/libsz.la'

For example in libhdf5_cpp.la there is:

dependency_libs='
-L/mnt/hdf/packages/szip/shared/encoder/Linux2.6-x86_64-gcc/lib
/mnt/hdf/packages/szip/shared/encoder/Linux2.6-x86_64-gcc/lib/libsz.la -lz'

So I downloaded the sources, compiled them and now it's ok.

Olivier.

ps: my libsz.la lib is in /usr/local/lib which it set in the command line
