Well, considering the release schedules, I believe that you will need to use a 
previous release of hdf5. I will look into this current external library 
transition and figure out how best to proceed. There seems to be two choices: 
release a version of hdf5 with the old szip libraries or release a version of 
hdf4, h4h5tools with the new szip library.
