I have a data set consisting of region references, but some of the
elements of the data set are empty. When I use h5dump to view the
contents of the data set, it shows "NULL" in those locations. I've
looked through the h5dump code but haven't yet been able to figure out
where references are being processed. Can anyone tell me how to go
about *quietly* detecting NULL region references?
