The HDF-Forum list is also readable / archived / searchable via a web interface
on Nabble:

http://hdf-forum.184993.n3.nabble.com/

Select the (more options) link in the descriptive paragraph at the top of the
page to get here:
http://hdf-forum.184993.n3.nabble.com/mailing_list/MailingListOptions.jtp?forum=184993

I *believe* (but have not confirmed) that you can use options on this page to
subscribe, select not to receive email, but then post through nabble or the
mail list. If you give it a try please let us know if it works!
