Mike,
The gray icons mean that the libraries do not work on your machine. I
just upgraded
my machine to 10.7.0. HDFView works fine. Roy tested HDFView on 10.6.7.
It seems that
the problem is not in the version of the OS. Could you download and
reinstall HDFView?
