A pre-release candidate version of HDF5 1.8.7 is available for testing,
and can be downloaded at the following link:
http://www.hdfgroup.uiuc.edu/ftp/pub/outgoing/hdf5/hdf5-1.8.7-pre1/
If you have some time to test this, we would greatly appreciate it.
While we try to test on a wide variety of platforms, there are many
systems and setups that we are unable to test on, and feedback from the
user community is always welcome.
Please note that while the release notes contained in the above link are
reflective of the new features and bug fixes present in this release,
the platforms tested, tested configurations, and known issues sections
still need to be updated and are not reflective of this pre-release
candidate.
We plan to release HDF5 1.8.7 in mid-May barring the discovery of any
critical errors, so please report any problems or difficulties with this
release candidate before then.
