Hi, If I go to Tools -> User Options and check the "Current Working Directory" check box in the Default Working Directory section under the General Setting tab in hdfview 2.7 the change is not sticky and never gets made. Instead, when I open up hdfview the next time, the box is unchecked and the Default Working Directory is reset to the install location. I examined the ~/.hdfview file and work.dir field is reset to the install directory as soon as hdfview is closed. I see no fields in the .hdfview file pertaining to "Current Working Directory."
