Hi Gerald,
Were you using my 0.9 version, or Martijn's h5labview? They are
different toolkits. In any case, LVHDF5 1.0 does support VLs. You can
put a 1-D array inside of a cluster and use that cluster as your data type.

Jason,
Thanks for this update !
I've been using a previous version of this toolkit but need VL
datatypes for my applications.
I hope it will now be supported in this release ?
Regards
Gerald

Objet: [Hdf-forum] New LabVIEW HDF5 Toolkit
I don't get the impression that there are a lot of LabVIEW users hanging
around this forum. None-the-less, I want to announce here the release of
a new version of the LVHDF5 toolkit (verison 1.0). It provides a nearly
complete interface to the standard HDF5 library function from National
Instrument's LabVIEW.
It may be found at

I'd like to thank the various people on this forum who have assisted me
over the last several years. In addition to HDF Group staff, I'd
particularly like to thank Andrew, the author of h5py.
Jason
