Dear users of HDF5 on OpenVMS systems, The last supported release for OpenVMS was HDF5 1.8.8 in November 2011. Since that time, the HDF5 library was not tested on OpenVMS and we assume it does not work anymore. We would like to remove the VMS related code from the HDF5 source for the HDF5 1.8.15 release in May 2015.
