Hi everyone, This is a quick reminder that the submission deadline for the SciPy 2016 conference is coming up quickly, on this Friday March 25. SciPy 2016 will be the 15th annual Scientific Computing with Python conference. It takes place over a full week in Austin Texas, and includes two days of tutorials, three days of talks, and two days of on-site developer sprints.
This year there will be a new mini-symposium on Special Purpose Databases, which includes technologies like NoSQL but also array-oriented platforms like HDF5 and NetCDF. I strongly encourage anyone using these technologies to consider submitting a talk or poster proposal for SciPy. Interest in this area has only grown over the past several years, and people working with new tools or sharing real-world applications in science or engineering are likely to get a very good reception. John Readey and I are serving as co-chairs for the Special Purpose Databases mini-symposium and would be happy to answer any questions, either on the lists or offline.
