Doug, as I had indicated previously in the avro mailing list, I have modified
ClientProtocol to throw specific exceptions in HDFS-1079. Looks like if I had
made this change earlier, it would have saved you some time. Could you please
review the patch and ensure this fits in with Avro changes.
