Byron Wong commented on HDFS-7056:
----------------------------------

There's a bug in {{INodeFile.computeContentSummary}}.
Given a file that has a snapshot, the computeContentSummary will compute file
length as 0 if either
a) the file has no diffs (state of file was unchanged since creation of the
snapshot)
b) the file is not currently deleted

> Implementation of truncate in HDFS-3107 does not allow truncating files which
> are in a snapshot. It is desirable to be able to truncate and still keep the
> old file state of the file in the snapshot.
