The blinding "the methods called in their implementations" is quite minor in my
view. It is easy to change methods to public when necessary.
I might be wrong -- I have a feeling that keeping BackupNode around does slow
down the ConsensusNode development since we have to, again, maintain the
BackupNode code during the ConsensusNode development. Won't you agree?
