Sounds like a good start point.
Additionally, how about also allowing "/" to be exported as a special case
along with other subdirectory exports? The benefit is that, it makes it
convenient for the admin to:
1. directly operate on subdirectories under "/"
2. do backup of any top sub-directory under "/" without the need of
share-and-mount them individually
Also, the root export can make it easier for some applications which require
accessing multiple top level subdirectories.
