Yeah, I tried to do this refactoring and found that it required more work. I

consolidating {{readOneStripe}} and {{fetchOneStripe}} and I wonder if you
plan to do it here. Otherwise I can include this consolidation in the HDFS-8320
patch that I'm working on. Thanks!
