A big part, but not the only goal. I want to address the command and control
goal. WebHDFS is severely lacking. Even though we have a proxy server that
speaks the exact same protocol and could offload the work, everyone is too
focused on the NN to make this conversation viable.
Probably better to fork the proxy into something different to give ops teams
the capabilities they want, using protocols they want, and close this as won't
fix.
