What is the status of the temporary debugging patch that was committed to
trunk? Is it still needed, or can it be reverted? HDFS-9438 reports that the
{{ifconfig}} call isn't compatible with Solaris, and it doesn't exist on
Windows, so the test is failing on those platforms.
