Thank you for this improvement [~linyiqun]. Per-volume metrics are off by
default. They can be enbabled by setting {{dfs.datanode.fileio.events.class}}
to {{org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.ProfilingFileIoEvents}}.
