bq. detach should be used here to pass responsibility to close the span to
ResponseProcessor thread when the packet is acked.
Does this mean that the {{writeTo}} span is potentially executing in a
different thread? I am trying to understand the perspective behind doing it.
bq. Throwing exception when detach is called on already detached TraceScope may
be improvement to avoid bug like this but HTrace 3 is no longer maintained.
Just FYI, I see that improvement in their master branch already now.
