fail than continue. Fail fast, so I can fix it.
The deployment environment is unusual, since we have the same configuration
used with DNs with different capabilities. I doubt this is common.
Pushing a config with an unsupported/misspelled type... losing the nodes with a
clear error is easier to debug than losing some fraction of capacity from nodes
that appear healthy, otherwise. It's certainly easier to overlook.
