LocatedFileStatus is a similar situation
Neither API has been part of a release, yet. This was supposed to be part of
3.0.0-beta1 (and several earlier releases), but reviewers haven't been able to
free up cycles for it.
bq. Could someone also enlighten me as to the purpose of the commented out
lines in FSProtos.
