https://hadoop.apache.org/versioning.html defines the commit flow. Since the
commit was done to trunk and branch-2, we need to make sure the branches in the
middle are committed too. 3.0.1 is great, but we also need branch-3.0. I just
did it but please try your best to commit to necessary branches.
